If you’ve ever owned an Apple Watch, you know how easy it can be to scratch or dent them. One accidental bang of your wrist or scrape against the wall and you now get to enjoy a permanent scratch on your watch. For kids, cases are extremely important. I bought an Apple Watch SE for each of my kids a little over a year ago and they seem to somehow hit it on just about everything as they’re running around and playing. Without the cases I put on them, those watches would have been completely destroyed in about a week. The model they have has the aluminum finish which makes them a bit more susceptible to damage than some of the tougher models like titanium or steel. I have found that the aluminum is significantly easier to dent and scratch than the higher end options. Because of this, cases can be a great option for the Apple Watch. In this article we’ll look at a variety of cases and discuss which case might be the best option for you. I’ll make sure to link to every case so you can check them all out and easily buy the one you like the most.

Carbon Fiber Snap-On Case

The first case we’ll look at is a simple carbon fiber case that snaps on to the edges of your watch.

It doesn’t provide any glass protection, only protection for the edges. Fortunately, the carbon fiber is incredibly strong and you’ll find that the edges will be very well protected. The downside of this case is that it is thicker. I’ve found that with the larger display of the series 7, the case is a bit intrusive around the edges of the screen.

I notice the case much more than I did when I had it on older versions of the watch where the screen bezels were larger. Regardless, I do enjoy this case. It offers great protection and has a nice premium feeling finish on it. It does pop off pretty easily, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If the watch took a serious hit, I would prefer that the case took the impact and came off, rather than remaining on and causing extra damage from blunt force. Misxi Snap-On Case

The next case is another snap-on case from Misxi.

Unlike the last case, this is plastic. It does have a protective screen on the front of it as well. This is the case that I use for my kids’ watches. It does add quite a bit of size, but it also holds on the watch much better than the carbon fiber case.

The biggest upside to this case is the fact that it provides protection over the entirety of the watch, screen included. If you have active kids like mine, I highly recommend this option. You can check it out here: https://jerad.link/misxiapplewatchcase

Caseology Nero Case

The Nero Case from Caseology is a bit more involved, but still offers simple protection.

This is a silicone case that you squeeze your watch into instead of snapping to the watch like the other cases we’ve looked at. It’s a bit difficult to put on, but it the fit is snug and secure once you’ve got it.

The downfall of this silicone style is that it is incredibly easy for gunk to build up around the edges of the case. Dirt and junk had already started to build up on the edges even just as I was installing it. With a case like this, you’ll need to clean it much more often. I do like the amount of protection this case provides. It even wraps around the bottom of the watch, leaving room for the sensors as well.

It also covers the button, which is a nice piece of added security. While it doesn’t provide any glass protection like the last case, I do appreciate that it stays completely out of the way of the display. Overall, this is a great case and would be a great alternative than having more of a hard-plastic styled case. Check it out here: https://jerad.link/caseologyapplewatch45mm

Elkson Case/Band

Now, let’s move on to cases that also have watch bands attached to them. The first one we’ll look at is the Elkson Quatro Pro Series Case

This case fits very snugly and has more of a rubbery silicone feel to it. I do like how it fits and I like the look of it as well. The band feels a bit too plastic-y and the whole case adds a lot of size to the watch, but it does fit securely and adds quite a bit of protection. The goofiest part of this case, in my opinion, is that it actually has the word, “protection,” stamped across the front of the case, right next to the display.

The actual band also says, “shock resist,” on one side and, “mud resist,” on the other side. This all seems like overkill and is a little ridiculous, but that’s just my opinion. To me, it makes my watch feel cheap. If you are interested though, you can check out this case here: https://jerad.link/elksonapplewatchcaseband

SupCase Case/Band

The last case we’ll look at is the SupCase Unicorn Beetle Pro Case

This is probably the heftiest case that we’ve seen so far, but the level of protection it provides is unmatched. SupCase is known for creating really high quality cases that are focused on maximizing protection. This case is very strong and secure. If you’re willing to sacrifice the slim design of the Apple Watch in favor of increased protection, this is going to be a great option for you. It doesn’t provide a screen protector, but it does have a large lip that extends above the screen. This is going to take any impact from a hit or a fall, which adds a large amount of screen protection. I do like the style of the band as well. You can tell it’s high quality and sturdy.

Final Thoughts

The cases we discussed here cover a variety of different styles and levels of protection. I hope that you were able to find one that best fits the type of case you were looking for. While not all of these cases were cases that I would personally enjoy, I can safely recommend any of them to you, knowing that they will all provide great protection for your watch and your kids’ watches.
