Let’s talk about iPhone cases. Even though iPhones are getting tougher each year, it’s still pretty important to have a solid case for protection against cracks and scratches. In this article I’ll review some of the best-ranked cases on Amazon for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. A lot of these cases have models for the smaller 13 pro, but keep in mind the cases mentioned in this article are specifically for the Max version of the phone. I’ll add links to every case as we discuss them so you can check any case you may be interested in.

Apple Leather Case

The first case we’ll look at is the Apple Leather Case.

It’s a MagSafe compatible case and form fits to the phone very well. Typically, a case made by Apple is high quality and premium feeling. This case is no exception. The texture feels great and the leather is genuine. Overall, this is a great case. The only downside of this case is that it doesn’t provide quite as much protection as some of the other cases we’ll look at.

Apple is big on sleek and minimal designs, so this case is limited on important protective aspects like a bigger lip that extends past the screen to take any impact from an accidental drop. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure you have a screen protector along with this case. The MagSafe compatibility also makes this case a great option for third party MagSafe items like the Anker Magnetic Phone Grip

Torras Shockproof Case

The next case we’ll look at is the Torras Shockproof Case.

This is another great case. It has a smooth, slick, silicone feel to it, and it comes with a decent amount of protection as well. It has a raised lip over the camera bump and a raised lip over the screen as well to ensure that the cameras and the screen are protected if there’s a drop.

What I like the most about this case is that it just feels good to hold. The buttons feel great as well. The only downside here is that there isn’t quite as much grip on the sides to keep the case from slipping out of your hands. This case is not technically MagSafe compatible. Fortunately though, it’s thin enough that most MagSafe accessories like the MagSafe charger will still work. Check out the Torras Shockproof Case here: jerad.link/torrasshockiphone13promax

Spigen Mag Armor Case

Next up, we’ve got the Spigen Mag Armor Case.

This case also has more of a silicone feel to it, but I’ve found that it feels a bit more textured than the Torras case from earlier. This one also does support MagSafe as well. This case has a decent lip over the camera bump, but it doesn’t have much of a lip over the screen. It has about as much as the Apple Leather Case. Because of this, it’s not going to protect your screen as much, so you’ll definitely want to consider adding a screen protector with this case as well.

My favorite feature of this case is the way the buttons feel. They’re super distinct, easy to find, and easy to press down as well. The Spigen case also has a larger opening for the lightning port than some of the other cases. This is a great feature because I often find that the openings with other cases are too small to fit the cables I use. This bigger opening ensures that my cables fit just fine.

Of the cases we’ve discussed so far, this is probably my favorite. You can check it out here: jerad.link/spigenmagarmoriphone13promax

Ghostek Atomic Case

The next case is the Atomic Case from Ghostek.

This case is MagSafe compatible, with a symbol in the back design to prove it. I don’t love that symbol being such a prominent part of the design, but that’s just my own opinion. I will say that MagSafe works incredibly well on this case, even more so than going directly to the device itself.

The case is also a bit thicker, providing extra protection all the way around the phone. The design also allows the phone to lay flat on the table, which is a nice feature as well. If you’re looking for a case that focuses on protection, this case is a great option for you. Check it out here: jerad.link/ghostekatomiciphone13pro

Casekii Ultra Slim Case

The Casekii Case is really quite slim. It barely adds any extra girth to your phone.

The design is also completely bare, so if you’re looking for a minimal, ultra slim case, this one may be for you. The only part of this case that protrudes is a lip to protect the camera bump and the buttons. What I like about this case is just how simple it is. It’s not begging for attention or trying to stand out. It’s just there to protect your phone and blend in. The case is also MagSafe compatible and the magnets are incredibly strong. I was pleasantly surprised when I attached the Anker Magnetic Phone Grip at just how securely those magnets held it there.

Overall, I do enjoy this case. If I were to choose between this case and the Apple case, I think I would choose the Apple case because of that nice leather texture.

Otterbox Commuter Case

The last case we’ll look at is the Otterbox Commuter Case.

This is a pretty common case that a lot of people really like using. The commuter series has that Otterbox heft to it. It’s quite a bit thicker and focuses on protection over minimalism. This is the biggest case out of every case we’ve looked at and was definitely designed to take a beating. The case also comes with a flap that covers the lighting port for added protection.

Unfortunately, this case is just too thick to work well with MagSafe products. Overall, this is a great case for someone who is more concerned about really protecting their phone. You can check it out here:  jerad.link/otterboxcommuteriphone13promax

Final Thoughts

I really like all of the cases we discussed in this article. Each case has its own strengths and weaknesses. So, when you’re deciding which case to go with, think about what’s best for you and what features are most important for you to have in a case.
