The first time I saw a Parrot Drone was at CES in 2012. They had this giant arena with drones flying in sequence, it was pretty cool. Fast forward years later and here I am flying one of their most advanced Drones available.

What surprised me about the Parrot Bebop 2 is its size. It’s tiny, which means you can take it anywhere. I opted to get it with the sky controller, which gives you dual sticks to fly it with. However, if you need to travel light, you can fly it with a phone or tablet.

The Parrot Bebop 2 not being the first drone I had flown, I had high hopes for it. Parrot has been in the drone game for a bit longer than most companies, so I was looking forward to a polished experience.

When I took to the air, I was surprised at how easy it was. The process is mostly automated for flying this drone. Of course, you can take control of it yourself, but it does a good job of helping you stay level and out of trouble. New software updates announced at CES this year in 2017 unlock additional features to make your Bebop 2, even more fun to fly.

Check out our video review of the drone to see our opinion of it and watch some actual flight time in the air. It’s a fantastic starter drone for anybody looking to start flying and it has the features to keep you interested even after your skills and needs advance a bit.
